I founded Glenbrook Strategies after more than fifteen years working across federal, state, and local veteran service systems, where I saw firsthand how complex the veteran landscape can be—and how powerful the results are when organizations understand how to navigate it. My career began in the United States Navy, where I served as a Second‑Class Petty Officer aboard the USS Rodney M. Davis, conducting small‑craft maritime and narcotics interdiction operations across the Gulf of Oman, Persian Gulf, and across the globe. That experience shaped my understanding of service, leadership, and mission execution.

After separating from the Navy, I continued serving my community through roles in law enforcement and veteran support programs. At the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, I helped build a multifaceted legal assistance program and supported veterans navigating judicial, healthcare, and social‑service systems. That work deepened my commitment to ensuring veterans receive the support, access, and advocacy they deserve.

In 2016, I became the Director of Veterans Services for Waseca County, Minnesota. In this role, I lead a team supporting the delivery of federal, state, and local benefits while coordinating across government agencies, healthcare systems, and community partners. I’ve built operational programs, improved access to VA healthcare through regional transportation initiatives, and guided cross‑agency coordination to strengthen outcomes for veterans across the region.

Nationally, I’ve had the privilege of serving in multiple leadership roles with the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers, including Washington Liaison, Executive Board Member, and ultimately President. In these positions, I worked directly with VA leadership, congressional stakeholders, and national partners to improve coordination between county and federal systems and to advance initiatives that strengthen service delivery across the country.

I created Glenbrook Strategies to bring this experience to organizations seeking to work effectively with government, align with public‑sector priorities, and build meaningful partnerships in the veteran space. My goal is simple: to help mission‑driven companies and agencies navigate complexity, understand where they fit, and position themselves for impact.

Whether advising on strategy, facilitating relationships, or guiding organizations through state and federal contracting pathways, I draw on the same principles that have defined my career—service, integrity, clarity, and a commitment to improving the lives of veterans and their families.
